"This is a negative review. I marked one star as that is the lowest I can score them. I have been with State Farm for over thirty years from when I was in the military. Over those years when I moved back home in the early 90's I have been with Bob Parent State Farm insurance. Up until recently they have been a good company to work with. Now however they are not the same and their customer service & communication is horrible in my opinion. I added my child in July and asked their sales rep Brandon Lilly to investigate what the best rate for me would be and he never returned my call. He frankly does not care about my time with state farm as a client and evidently Bob Parent does not either. My insurance went to over 1000.00 per month . To be transparent I have had a accident in the past and I asked Brandon to investigate the best options for me when I added a new driver to get the best rate I could as I did not want to switch providers. He never even returned my call after speaking with me that day. I called back after a month and there was a young lady there and she was helpful and sent me a safe driver module for my daughter and this did lower the bill some but requested that I wait until Brandon's return and he would reach out. He still did not reach back out to me. In late July I sold a vehicle and we did speak. I asked him to remove the vehicle. He did not do that. I also asked several questions about getting the best discount I could I caught it in September as my bill kept climbing and I sent emailed inquires to both him and Bob. I had to drive the communication they never reached out. In early October I finally made the decision to switch providers after having so much trouble with them. I did keep a couple of smaller policy's with them and I paid Octobers bill. I informed them via email on October 10th that I was canceling all auto policy's and then I had to go to their office as they didn't reply to that cancellation to make certain they canceled it. Then I did get conformation the policies were canceled on October 14th via email. In November I received another bill that was over 1200.00. I had to push them to get that corrected and as I am writing this I also have been asking when I can expect a credit or a refund for the full payment made in October. It is December 6th and I still have not received an answer. I am a reasonable person and asked them via email to give me an update copying Brandon and Bob parent or I was going to post this review in a weeks time. I still have not received a email or a call from them. That's why I am posting because they evidently do not care at all. Please remember that as best I can recall I have been with them as a client since 1995. I still do not have a refund or an account statement. (almost 2 months later) All I have is the website that shows I do not owe a bill for the small policies that I currently have. Its due to this poor customer service that I switched providers. I did not want to and have avoided online insurance companies due to wanting to know my agent is and who I am talking to if I need them. State Farm isn't that company anymore or at least Bob Parent State Farm insurance isn't as far as my recent experience this year has shown. I did call State Farm corporate and they said I would have to work it out with Bob Parent SF. The problem is my agent doesn't work for me in my experience recently. I will cancel the remaining policy's I currently have with them as soon as is convenient and I am sure at this point nothing would make their agency happier. At this point I just want to know what I owe them or they owe me so we can part ways as quickly as possible. This has been a frustrating and stressful experience for me. It shouldn't be that way. Communication is key in customer service and they in my opinion do not have that skill set any longer. Sincerely S Bowen Jr."

We would like the opportunity to review your account in detail, confirm any refund due, and make sure you have a clear final statement so you can move forward with confidence. If you are open to it, please contact the office directly or ask for Bob so this can be handled as quickly as possible. Thank you again for your many years with us and for giving this honest feedback. "

"My experience with State Farm in King, NC under agent Bob Parent has been terrible. On multiple occasions, I was given incorrect information that created unnecessary stress and confusion. They almost never answer the phone, and when I leave messages, I rarely get a call back. It also took them over a month just to remove a car I had sold from my policy — something that should have been quick and simple. This level of service is completely unacceptable. If you value your time and peace of mind, I recommend looking elsewhere for your insurance needs."
